Cost Engineering Mentor to assist professionals to create cost estimates. Together with the Cost Engineering Training and the Cost Engineering Community, the Cost Engineering Mentor is the fundamental part of the e-training solution under development in V-CES Project, and it follows the concept of e-Learning by doing.


V-CES Mentor is a cost estimating tool comprising features like:

  • e-Training of novice cost engineers in three cost engineering techniques: parametric, bottom up, and analogy based. Guiding them through the steps needed to develop an estimate using any of the three mentioned methods.

  • Cost estimate creation making use of data from the V-CES database or inputed directly by the user.

  • Authentication is needed in order to make use of the service. This step leads to the creation of a particular database for each user, where no other user may have access at all.
